The Varsity Football team defeated Mt. Vernon 40-0 on the road Friday night. The Pioneer defense put up their second straight shutout, led by Dallas Busing with a pair of interceptions, that set the tone early. Aiden Perigo also had a pick, and Wyatt Seiler recovered a fumble. Landon Boyer led the Pioneers in tackles with 8. Dakota Hall and Zane Strahl combined for 11 tackles and a pair of sacks up front. The Pioneer offense was led by Mason Jones, who had 129 yards and 3 touchdowns. Tripp Kelly added 60 yards of offense and a pair of touchdowns, including one in the air from Beau Seiler. Bradyn Egli had a rushing score and led the Pioneers in receiving with 4 catches for 40 yards. Brody Perigo made 4 PATs and Kyler Fischer blocked a Wildcat field goal. It was another great TEAM effort and win. The Pioneers host conference opponent, Southridge this Friday.
