The boys cross country team was in action Thursday night at Gibson Southern for the Allan Hopewell Class Invitational. The Pioneers fought hard and established plenty of season and lifetime bests. In the Junior/Senior race Grant Montgomery lead the way finishing 3rd in a time of 16:40. The Pioneers had two top 30 finishers in the Freshman/Sophomore race with Gavin Zint finishing 9th and Callahan Merkel finishing 28th, both athletes running huge lifetime bests. On the GIrls side of things Ava Brown competed in the Girls Junior/Senior race finishing in 45th place. Ava ran a strong race establishing another seasons best. Great Job Team! The Cross Country team will be back in action on Saturday September 13th at Heritage Hills.
