Wednesday night the Pioneer golf team hosted the top ten ranked Castle Knights and the Tecumseh Braves for the battle of Warrick County. Boonville played some really great golf, with Mason Mills finishing the match as the overall low medalist, with a score of 35, even par. Fantastic job, Mason! Cash Willis placed 2nd overall, with a score of 36. Mason Keller pulled together a round of 39, holding on, even after a small setback in the middle of his round. Landon Morris posted a solid score of 40. Tanner Garrett shot 41, Wyatt Belcher 45, Emmitt Roy 48, and Will Whyte 57. The match came down to a tie with Boonville and Castle both posting team scores of 150. The match was decided in a tie breaker, going to the 5th score, which went in the Knights' favor. Despite the tie break loss, the Pioneers have a lot to be proud about, and have their sights set on a strong postseason! The team will celebrate senior night on Thursday vs Bosse at Boonville Country Club.
