Track & Field (Boys V) Scores

The Boys track and field team were on the road last night finished 2nd behind Mater Dei by only 10pts but outscoring host South Spencer. Since the boys will also be competing Wednesday in the big Princeton Invite, athletes were spread out and limited to only a few events. Several of the boys came up big for the Pioneers including Jr. Josiah Jorgenson winning the pole vault with a PR vault of 10'6". Josiah also placed 2nd in the Long jump with a jump of 18'4.75in. Jr. Logan Strahle placed 3rd with a Jump of 18'4" and also placed 3rd in the100m dash. Sophomore Mason Jones placed 4th with a PR jump of 18'1". Jr. Jordan Paul came up with another win in the 110H. Freshman Tripp Kelly won his first race of the year winning the 300H in a PR time of 46.21 seconds. The boys 4x800 team of Whyte, Musgrove, Gentry, and Montgomery placed 1st with a time of 8:41.95. Senior Cole Cundiff won both Shot Put and Disc with throws of 42'8"in the shot and 132' in the disc. Freshman Brayden Mayes scored his first points of the year placing forth in the disc with throw of 97'3". Freshman Kyler Fischer also scored his first points of the year placing 4th in the shot put with a throw of 33'. Jr. Grant Montgomery won the 3200m run in 11:09.28. Freshman Brayden Stover had a PR. run in the 1600m race with a 2nd place finish and a time of 5:08. Freshman Caleb Gentry finished 4th for his 1600m debut running a time of 5:14.62. Sophomore Joe Henry also ran a PR in the mile breaking the 6 minute barrier for the first time in his career running 5:58. Sophomore Easton Wilson placed 3rd in the 400 with a PR time of 55.77 and Sophomore Levi O'Neill placed 4th. There were several other PR's on the night for the Pioneers! Great job tonight boys!! We will be back in action Wednesday at the Princeton Boy's invitational.
