BHS Boys Golf hit the road early on Saturday morning to compete in the Vincennes Invitational. Despite wet conditions, the boys were happy to play after having 2 straight invites cancelled due to the weather. The team wasn't messing around; they showed up to play. Posting a season best team score of 317, the pioneers came in 2nd place to the host Vincennes Lincoln. Cash Willis and Mason Mills led the way by finishing tied for 2nd place with an excellent 18 hole score of 74. Highlights for them included Mason's birdie on hole 4, a 240 yard par 3, and Cash knocking in a 12 foot put for eagle on hole number 6. Adding to the team total were Tanner Garrett 84 and Wyatt Belcher with an 85. This was a strong outing for the Pioneers, but the team knows it can do even better. The team has a hectic week with 3 matches during the week and an invite at Bedford North Lawrence on Saturday. Come out and support your pioneers at Boonville Country Club on Monday evening.
