Boys Track Regional results

The Boonville Boys Track team had an outstanding showing at the Evansville Regionals Thursday night. The boys boys placed 6th out of over 40 possible teams competing in the Evansville Regional. The Pioneers came home with two Regional Champions/State Qualifiers and a new 4x800 school record. Sophomore Jordan Paul got the team started by winning the 110H in a time of 15.01! Senior Marques Ballard goes back to back as the long jump champion with a leap of 22'4.25". Both Jordan and Marques have punched their tickets to the state Finals next Saturday afternoon at IU's track and field stadium. The boys 4x800m relay of Eli Mayes, Logan Whyte, Kayden Musgrove and Grant Montgomery placed 6th out of 16 teams and set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 8:17.53. The old record was from 1986 and was 8:20. Junior Cole Cundiff threw his PR. of the season and placed 5th in the disc. His best throw was 146'6" Congratulations to all of these boys!
