Boonville High School

The Boonville boys track team had a strong showing at the Evansville Sectional Thursday night placing 4th out of 13 teams. The boys had two sectional champs. Sophomore Jordan Paul won the 110H and Junior Cole Cundiff won the disc with a new PR of 143'4". Cole also placed 4th in the shot put. The 4x800 team of Mayes, Whyte, Musgrove and Montgomery place 3rd advancing to the regionals with a PR. of 8:20.42 (the school record is 8:20). Senior Marques Ballard placed 2nd in the long jump and 3rd in the 200m advancing to the regionals in both events. Sophomore Grant Montgomery placed 4th in the 1600m. Jr. Logan Whyte ran a PR in the 800m with a time of 2:03.96 placing 5th. The 4x100 team placed 4th. Jr. Quincy Carter placed 5th in high jump. We are waiting to hear on callbacks. Your Auto Regional qualifiers are Jordan Paul (110H) Cole Cundiff (Disc) Marques Ballard (Long Jump and 200M) and the 4x800 Relay team. The boys will be back in action Next Thursday night at the Evansville Regionals at Central High School. GO PIONEERS!
