The Girls Track Team Competed in the Mt Vernon Sectional meet Tuesday night finishing 7th place. Auto advancing to the regional round for the Pioneers were Ava Kelly finishing 2nd in the 100 meter dash and 2nd in the long jump, Whitney Shoup finishing 3rd in the 100 meter hurdles, and the 4x100 meter relay team of (Sophie Borgman, Whitney Shoup, Kassidy Kelley, Ava Kelly) finishing 3rd and once again setting a new school record of 50.38 seconds. Also scoring for the pioneers were Maya Cobb finishing 4th in the 1600 meter run and 5th in the 800 meter run, Sydney Ulrey finishing 8th in the 1600 meter run, Kassidy Kelley finishing 6th in the high jump, and the 4x400 meter relay team of (Malerie Anderson, Sophie Borgman, Nikki Snow, Sydney Ulrey) finishing in 8th. Great job on a fantastic season! The Girls Track team will be back in action for those qualifying on to the regional round next Tuesday nigh at Evansville Central. Go Pioneers!
