Thursday night the Boonville girls soccer team traveled up highway 41 to take on the lady Titans. The team is still very young, but trending in the right direction. The game ended in defeat, but the team learned a lot about resilience and playing for each other. Landrie Chapman and Elie Tieman split time in goal, filling in for the injured Hadley Hart. The defensive line of Kayla Weiss, Savannah Simpson, Lydia Lemond, and Addy Tuley were very resilient and tireless. Morgan Poellein created several counter-attacking opportunities, leading to chances for our young attackers. Reese Ransom was an absolute menace all over the field, earning several free kicks after the opposing team had to take her down. Great effort and attitude from every single player! The pioneers jump back into the thick of it on Monday, as they travel to South Spencer for another away game.
