The field consisted of some top schools in the area. BHS finished in 5th place in a field of 20 teams, shooting a terrific team score of 310. Barr Reeve took top honors with 4 over par score of 292. Memorial took second with 301, Forest Park 3rd with 306, Gibson Southern 4th with a 309. Individual scores for the Pioneers were as follows: Gage Vincent 88, Emmitt Roy 85, Will Whyte 83. Mason Mills shot a stellar round of 72, even par at Country Oaks. Mills ended up in a tie for 3rd overall. The Pioneer's final score came from Cash Willis, who birdied 4 of the last 5 holes to shoot 1 under par 71. This score led to a sudden death playoff with Barr Reeve's Cam Knepp. It took 3 playoff holes to determine the winner after the boys went par and then birdie to match each other through 2. On the 3rd playoff hole Cash missed a birdie putt and Cam Knepp made his to win. Great job to Cash for turning on the jets late to fight back into contention. The Pioneers travel to Vincennes on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the South Knox Invite.
