The Lady Pioneers Track team competed in the Sectional at Perry Central on Tuesday night. The team competed at a very high level finishing in 4th place. Scoring for the Pioneers were Ava Kelley finishing 1st in the 100, 200, and long jump, Lillyan Shoulders finishing 7th in the 800, Whitney Shoup finishing 1st in the 100 hurdles, Irie Squires finishing 4th in the 300 hurdles, Addison Luff finishing 5th in the high jump, Abigail Orr finishing 4th in the pole vault, the 4x400 meter relay team of (Luff, Shoup, Orr, Squires) finished in 7th, and the 4x100 meter relay team of (Squires, Luff, Shoup, Kelley) finished in 1st. The Pioneers had 8 qualifying marks for the regional round. Ava Kelley in the 100, 200, and long jump, Whitney Shoup, in the 100 hurdles, Irie Squires in the 300 hurdles, Addison Luff in the high jump, Abigail Orr, in the pole vault, and the 4x100 meter relay team. The Pioneers will be well represented next week at the regional meet. The regional meet will be held Tuesday May 26th at Evansville Central. Congrats ladies for all your efforts this year!
