Boonville Golf Team Tops Titans and Marksmen

Despite the chill in the air, the Pioneer golfers were feeling some heat on Tuesday night when they defeated Gibson Southern and Tell City to claim a victory in their first home match of the season. Tell City finished with a 174, Gibson Southern 156, and Boonville turned in a team score of 152. Leading the charge was Cash Willis, with his second medalist finish of the season, tying with Tell City's Noble to shoot even par 35. Mason Mills turned in another good performance, with a score of 38. Gage Vincent took hold of a golden opportunity, shooting a 39 for the first time in his high school career. Will Whyte contributed the 4th varsity score with a 40. Wyatt Belcher shot 41, and Emmitt Roy shot 50. For JV the pioneers finished 2nd to Gibson Southern 185-180. Carson Keller had a big night with a 41. The rest of the team scores were: Luke Whyte 45, Gunner Wilson 47, Jackson Singer and Dawson Keller 52, and Leo Manera 53. The Pioneers play again on Tuesday against Castle and Tecumseh at Rolling Hills.
