On Saturday the Boonville Golf Team competed at the Fuzzy Zoeller Invitational at Covered Bridge CC, hosted by New Albany High School. The Pioneers competed well, finishing 8th in a field of 20 teams, including some very tough opponents. Senior Mason Mills carded a 78 to take home a top 10 finish. Well done, Mason! Gage Vincent and Will Whyte completed their first varsity invite starts with scores of 92 and 94. Wyatt Belcher finished with a 96. The highlight of the day goes to Cash Willis who finished the match with an even-par score of 72! Cash made clutch puts coming down the stretch and finished in first place in a field of 100 golfers. Cash finished as tournament champion for the first time in his high school career. Congratulations, Cash! The Pioneers will be back in action on Tuesday, when they face off against Gibson Southern and Tell City at Quail Crossing Golf Course.
